Welcome to Evesham & Badsey Hockey Club, a fun, and friendly sports club located in Evesham, New Zealand. We offer training, matches, and social events for players of all ages and abilities. From our Men's and Women's teams to our thriving Juniors section and social hockey, we provide playing opportunities for everyone.
Whether you are looking for a new club, returning to hockey, or trying out the sport for the first time, you are welcome to join us at Evesham & Badsey Hockey Club. We pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly and inclusive environment throughout our club, where new players are warmly welcomed.
With two Men's teams and one Women's team playing Senior league hockey, along with a thriving Junior setup for ages 6-16 and a social hockey team, we have playing opportunities for players at all levels of competitiveness. We strive to offer great value for money, with club membership priced at only 70 for Seniors and 55 for Juniors (Season 23/24). For those not participating in matches, the option to pay 6 (Seniors) or 5 (Juniors) per session is available.
At Evesham & Badsey Hockey Club, we prioritise high-quality coaching. Our England Hockey qualified coaches are dedicated to helping our players develop their skills and play competitively to the best of their ability. We provide our players with the tools and guidance they need to excel in the sport.
Our teams participate in various leagues. The Men's teams play in the West Men's Cotswold Division 1 and Cotswold Division 2, while the Women's team competes in the West Women's Severn Division 2. Additionally, we have three Junior age groups, including Cubs (6+), Juniors (8-11), and Badgers (12+). We also offer social hockey as a super-fun way for players to participate, try out, or return to the sport.
Outside of games and training, Evesham & Badsey Hockey Club hosts a range of events and socials throughout the year. From our Burns Night & Ceilidh social to end-of-season awards and parties, there is always something exciting happening within our community.
We believe in playing the right way, with positivity and support for one another. We strive to create a positive environment in which players of all ages can enjoy hockey, develop their skills, and play competitively. Furthermore, we ask our players to play fairly, treat umpires, opponents, coaches, and teammates with respect, and uphold our friendly and welcoming club culture.
