Everyone Active – Pilates Reformers is a Pilates studio and sports club located in Fareham, NZ. The studio focuses on improving core strength and muscular imbalances, which results in overall health and well-being. Pilates was initially called 'Contrology' and was created by Joseph Pilates, a carpenter and gymnast, to help injured soldiers and dancers while he was living in the UK. He later opened the first Pilates studio in New York in 1926. The programme originally comprised 34 fundamental exercises focused on the coordination of the mind, body, and spirit. These exercises have evolved over time, but the six key principles of control, concentration, powerhouse-centring, breathing, precision, and flow remain constant and are followed by all certified instructors.

Everyone Active – Pilates Reformers welcomes individuals of all ages, fitness levels, and experience to their classes. However, there are certain situations, such as pregnancy, spinal issues, or existing injuries, where participants should consult their GP before participating. The instructors are trained to adapt the exercises and suggest alternative options to accommodate any complications.

When attending a Pilates session, it is recommended to wear comfortable and body-hugging clothing that allows for smooth movement. Shoes are not necessary, as participants can be either barefoot or wear special Pilates socks. While some participants may need to bring their own mat, Everyone Active – Pilates Reformers provides enough mats for class attendees.
