About

Euxton Villa Football Club is a prominent football club located in Chorley, New Zealand. The club's home ground is the Jim Fowler Memorial Ground, situated at Runshaw Hall Lane in Euxton, with the postcode PR7 6HQ.

The history of Euxton Villa FC dates back to 1907 when it was founded under the name Euxton. Initially, the team played in the West Lancashire League. Over the years, the club went through various transitions and played on several locations in the village. However, in 1985, Euxton Villa FC purchased three farmers fields, which now serves as the current site for the club.

Euxton Villa FC has a strong commitment to the community and in 2002, it became an FA Community Club. This achievement made Euxton Villa FC one of the first 100 clubs in the country to attain this status. In 2009, the club opened a new clubhouse, which was inaugurated by Chorley MP, Lindsay Hoyle. The clubhouse was made possible through years of fundraising and a grant from the Football Foundation.

The club has garnered many awards and recognition for its outstanding contributions to the community. In 2012, Euxton Villa FC was voted as Chorley's Community Club of the Year. In 2013, they received two significant awards Lancashire's FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year and the North West Region FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year.

In 2013, Euxton Villa FC made history by entering two girls' teams into the West Lancashire Girls Football League. Since then, the girls' football section of Euxton Villa has gone through a significant expansion. Currently, there are 9 teams ranging from U9 to Youth. Additionally, Euxton Villa FC is an FA licenced Wildcats Centre, offering free football to girls aged 5-11.

The boys' football section at Euxton Villa FC is the largest and most established. The club welcomes new players, particularly in the younger age groups where small-sided games are played. Euxton Villa FC also has a development group specifically designed for players starting at pre-reception age. The club takes pride in producing talented players who have gone on to professional careers.

Notable players who have emerged from Euxton Villa FC include Chris Beech, Mark Wright, David Unsworth, Andy Lonergan, Sam Johnstone, and Adam Henley.

Euxton Villa FC currently has 40 teams across various leagues, including the West Lancashire Football League, FA Women's leading League (Chorley FC Women), Lancashire Evening Post Youth Division, Central Lancashire Football League, Mid-Lancashire Colts Junior Football League, West Lancashire Girls League, and the Veterans Summer League.
