Eton Wick Youth FC, based in Windsor, was set up in August 2022. Keith Beckett and his team started it to give kids aged six and up a chance to play football. They’ve got U8 and U9 teams playing in the Thames Valley Football Development League.
Training's on Wednesdays, and matches happen on Sundays at the Eton Wick Recreation Ground. Matches usually kick off at 10:00 am, and the venue details come out before the season starts. Supporters are always welcome to come cheer the kids on!
The main aim at Eton Wick Youth FC is for kids to have fun while they learn the game. They’re big on enjoying football without any pressure. Keith’s a big believer in this, quoting football legend Johan Cruyff on their social media.
Running the club are folks like Keith himself, who’s got loads of experience with the senior Eton Wick FC team. Sandeep Mohan keeps an eye on the finances, and James Rebbitt sorts out welfare and safeguarding.
For the U9s, you've got Marian Neculai, whose dad was a pro in Romania, and Marian himself played pro. Then there's Leon Bosch, the U9 Coach, who was a top young goalkeeper in South Africa.
They really value their fans and love hearing from them, whether it’s support or questions about training. All their contact details are on social media and club directories.
The club also appreciates community support. Donations to help fund their mission are welcome and much appreciated.
Eton Wick Youth FC is all about inspiring the next generation of footballers right here in Windsor.
