End of season play-off. Errol Bowling Club is an active participant in all of these associations and competitions.
In addition to these external competitions, Errol Bowling Club also organises a range of internal club competitions for its members. These include singles, pairs, triples, and rinks competitions, allowing members to showcase their skills and compete against their fellow clubmates. These internal competitions create a friendly and competitive atmosphere within the club and provide opportunities for members to improve their bowling abilities.
Errol Bowling Club also enjoys friendly games against other clubs throughout the season. These friendly games are an excellent opportunity for members to socialise and build friendships with bowlers from other clubs, while still enjoying the competitive aspect of the sport. The club also hosts special events throughout the year, such as charity fundraisers and themed social nights, which further enhance the sense of community within the club.
The club's bowling green boasts five outdoor rinks and is well-maintained to ensure an optimal playing surface. The green is available for members to use from mid-April to the end of September, enabling them to enjoy bowling in the beautiful Perthshire weather. Members can access the green at any time after 1:00 pm until sunset, providing flexibility for individuals with different schedules.
Errol Bowling Club is affiliated with the Scottish Bowling Association (SBA), as well as the men's and ladies' indoor county associations. These affiliations give members the opportunity to participate in additional competitions and championships at a regional and national level. Being part of these associations also allows Errol Bowling Club to contribute to the growth and development of the sport in the region.
Beyond the competitive aspect, Errol Bowling Club also has a thriving social membership. Members can enjoy the amenities of the bowling pavilion throughout the season, where frequent social events are organised. These events act as a hub for members to connect, relax, and have fun off the green. Even during the closed season from October to April, the club ensures that there are events and gatherings in place to keep members engaged and maintain the camaraderie of the club.
Whether you're a seasoned bowler or a newcomer to the sport, Errol Bowling Club warmly welcomes everyone who is interested in trying out or continuing their participation in lawn bowls. With its long-standing history in the community, active involvement in various competitions, and vibrant social scene, Errol Bowling Club offers a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for all members.
