Are you the owner of Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Group?

Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Group, led by Peggy, offers an incredible opportunity for disabled individuals to enjoy horse riding in the South Hams area of Devon, UK. Peggy and her team are dedicated to providing a safe and structured environment where riders of all ages can experience the joy and therapeutic benefits of equestrian activities.
With over 30 years of experience, the group currently supports around 160 riders with various disabilities. The Brook, their facility, has been running for 16 years and depends entirely on community donations. They provide nearly 4,000 rides each year with the help of 180 committed volunteers.
Peggy’s goal is to offer education through equine experience, focusing on fun, independence, and new skills. Each rider’s safety and enjoyment are top priorities, with up to three volunteers assisting each participant when needed.
To join, an application process is required for ensuring safety and appropriate resources. Interested individuals can contact Peggy via email at peggydouglasrda@gmail.com to arrange a visit.
Session costs vary, with group sessions at £15.00, children under 5 years at £10.00 (with parental support), individual sessions at £25.00, and mechanical horse sessions at £20.00. Specialist sessions and horse care costs are by arrangement. Payments can be made by cheque to Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled Ltd or via BACS (Sort Code: 20-60-88, Account Number: 23050238).
