Enso Martial Arts – Children, Teen & Adult Ju Jitsu is a renowned martial arts club based in the North West of England, with a strong presence throughout the UK. Founded in 2024 and registered as Enso Martial Arts Academy Limited, the club is dedicated to providing top-quality Ju Jitsu training to children, teenagers, and adults.
Ju Jitsu, which originated in Japan in the 1400s as a means of self-defence against samurai warriors, focuses on the art of grappling. The club emphasises teaching students to utilise their opponents' energy to execute pins, joint locks, and throws. It is important to note that Ju Jitsu is not a violent sport but rather a discipline built on principles of respect, trust, and confidence.
At Enso Martial Arts, students progress through different grades or belts as they master the art of Ju Jitsu. The grading system, commonly employed in various martial arts, serves as a roadmap for students' advancement. Instead of imposing specific time frames for each grade, the club recognises that progression is contingent upon individual ability and the amount of time invested in practising.

Enso Martial Arts conducts regular Ju Jitsu classes in several areas, including Bolton, East Lancashire, Fylde & Wyre, Preston, Ribble Valley, and South Ribble. The club aims to make Ju Jitsu accessible to all by offering evening classes in Bolton. Open to everyone, the first lesson is free, and participants can choose to pay 7 per class or avail themselves of Direct Debit options.
The evening classes in Bolton are held at Christ Church Heaton, located on Chorley New Road. The Junior Ju Jitsu class takes place on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm, catering to children aged 4-11. The Senior Ju Jitsu class, suitable for individuals aged 10 and above, follows immediately after from 7. 15pm to 8.

Enso Martial Arts also organises after-school clubs in various schools, exclusively for enrolled students. These clubs provide a convenient way for children to further their Ju Jitsu training within the familiar environment of their schools. The after-school clubs are currently held at St Andrew's Primary School, Sacred Heart Primary School, St Peters Smithills Dean, St Maxentius Primary School, and Eagley Junior School.
