Led by our esteemed instructor, John Burke renshi, who has trained in Okinawa with Hokama Tetsuhiro Hanshi, Karate Academy offers a truly authentic and enriching learning experience. Our commitment to excellence is highlighted by the fact that we have had the privilege of training in Japan and Okinawa multiple times, setting us apart from other clubs in the area.

The black belt tests at Karate Academy are particularly special, as we are honoured to have the presence of Anthony Blades kyoshi, a black belt grading examiner and a trusted friend and colleague for over 20 years. In addition, we regularly invite senior martial arts teacher Hanshi Patrick McCarthy, 9th Dan, as a guest instructor in our club, ensuring that our members receive the very best expertise.

Our senior instructors boast a wealth of experience in martial arts, guaranteeing attention to detail in every training session.
