Chris Sullivan, the organiser of Enfield Shotokan Karate Club, extends a warm welcome to all sports enthusiasts. Situated in the heart of Enfield, the club brings nearly four decades of experience in teaching Shotokan Karate to students of all ages and skill levels.
With classes running every day in multiple locations across North East London, including Walthamstow, Chingford, and others, there’s a spot for everyone—whether a novice or an experienced Black Belt. Chris Sullivan encourages prospective students to pop in and watch a class before making any commitment. No need for special attire to start; just come in something loose and comfortable.
The club stands out with its team of fully qualified Black Belt instructors, who continuously train to maintain top-notch coaching standards. Regular gradings and courses with leading international instructors are also on offer. Chris is particularly proud of the club's Safeguarding in Martial Arts Code accreditation, ensuring a secure environment for children and vulnerable adults.
A cornerstone of the club is Chief Instructor, Sensei Rod Butler, who brings over 45 years of expertise in Shotokan Karate. With credentials including a 4th Dan KUGB JKA achieved under the late and esteemed Sensei Enoeda, Sensei Butler is a pillar of wisdom and skill within the Karate community.
