Healthcare professionals are encouraged to refer their patients to the programme to help them meet the national physical activity guidelines and improve their overall health.

Starting with just 5,000 steps a day, Maria gradually increased her daily steps to 15,000 and experienced significant improvements in her health.

They are responsible for organising routes and meeting places, welcoming new members, and ensuring the success of each walking session. Walk Organisers receive training, access to an online profile to manage their group, and various benefits such as thank you gifts, ongoing communications, and invitations to events and workshops.
