One such offering is the RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship Course, perfect for newcomers to sailing, power-boating, sea angling, diving, and those with some dinghy and keel boat experience. This course can be completed online or as a two-day classroom session, covering essential navigation techniques and seamanship knowledge.
Students will learn to understand charts, interpret the buoyage system, navigate safely, avoid collisions, forecast weather, understand tides, ensure boat safety, and use electronic navigation. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the skills and confidence to navigate safely between harbours during the day in good weather.
