She also had the opportunity to work at Park Club Europe in Tenerife, where she performed in 12 different musicals and even played the lead in five of them. Her experiences as a performer and teacher inspired her to open the Emily Thornton School of Dance in 2011.

Emily Thornton School of Dance is registered with the United Teachers of Dance and is a registered school with the Board of Dance Qualifications. All teachers at the school are DBS checked, and Emily herself is a first-aider. This emphasises the school's commitment to the safety and well-being of its students.
