Fancy a round of golf? Head to Eltham Warren Golf Club in Eltham, London. It's been around since 1890, so you know it's got bags of history. Darren and the team there really know how to make you feel at home, whether you're a pro or just starting out.

Though it's mainly a members' club, they welcome visitors on weekdays. Just make sure you book ahead by calling the Pro Shop on 020 8850 4477, option 2. You can book tee times any time from Monday to Friday, as long as it’s not after 4:30 pm (2:30 pm in winter). They also offer a few slots on Sundays after 3:00 pm during the summer, but no luck on Saturdays, Sundays before 3:00 pm, or Bank Holidays.

No need to show a handicap certificate, but make sure you've got the basics down. If Darren and the team think you’re not up to scratch or don’t have proper gear, you might get turned away. Check out the dress code on their website, too – it's pretty standard stuff.

Got some mates who want to join? There's a cracking winter fourball offer for just £99 – that’s a sweet deal. Available on weekdays and Sundays after 12:30 pm, but you'll still need to book in advance.

The nine-hole course is a good mix of fun and challenge, with a Main Course Rating Slope of 68.80 and spread over 5,850 yards, par 69. It’s well-kept, and each hole gives you something different to tackle. Plus, the scenery is top-notch.
