Alternatively, members can join small group training sessions, which provide a similar experience to personal training at a fraction of the cost. Elevate One was founded by Annemarie O'Donnell, who has a personal passion for health and fitness. Annemarie, originally from Ireland, moved to Australia in 2013 and dedicated her free time to exercise while working as an accountant. In 2019, she took a leap of faith and left her accounting job to become a full-time coach. Annemarie's coaching style is characterised by her genuine care for her clients and her desire to help them achieve optimal results.

She aims to guide her clients away from focusing on weight scales or punishing themselves with excessive cardio, instead teaching them how to train smarter, follow a structured programme, and develop a positive mindset about food.

The name “Elevate One” carries significant meaning. The “E” in Elevate represents multiple levels, symbolising the personal journey clients embark on at the gym. The top stroke of the “E” stands alone as a single bar, representing the concept of raising the bar and pushing oneself further to exceed fitness goals. The customised “E” and “O” in the gym's logo symbolise the coming together of client and trainer, individuals and the group, and reflect the supportive and empowering community at Elevate One.

Additionally, the name “Elevate One” signifies the journey Annemarie has taken her clients on, as the gym has transitioned from a humble basement to level one in its new location.
