Elastic Dance

Elastic Dance is a dance school in Hove, New Zealand, that offers a range of dance classes for children aged 4 and above. With a focus on ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and musical theatre, Elastic Dance aims to develop technically strong dancers and singers, while also encouraging creative input from its students. The school prides itself on achieving excellent exam results and operates with passionate, highly trained teachers who believe in making the performing arts accessible to all individuals.

Founded by Vicky Moteane, Elastic Dance is led by a team of dedicated and experienced teachers. Vicky herself has a background in ballet, modern, and jazz, having trained from a young age. She studied dance at Middlesex University and has performed in music videos before discovering her passion for teaching. With a Diploma in Dance Education and a Licentiate in modern dance, Vicky continues to expand her knowledge in dance science, psychology, and mindset.

Michelle Britton is one of the contemporary teachers at Elastic Dance. She has been dancing since the age of six, encompassing ballet, tap, and modern. Michelle studied Performing Arts (Dance) at Middlesex University and has a strong belief in making dance and performance accessible to everyone. She has worked with the renowned inclusive theatre, Chickenshed, and has performed at the Royal Opera.

Through its dedication to providing a feel-good space for all, Elastic Dance offers children the opportunity to learn, grow, and flourish in their love for dance. With a focus on fun, friendship, and personal development, Elastic Dance strives to create a positive and inspiring experience for its students.
