Grab your helmets and rev up those engines because it's time to hit the track with the Edmonton & District Kart Racing Association (EDKRA)! Every year in April, EDKRA kicks off the race season with a classroom session for new racers. This session covers all the important safety and competition details you need to know in order to compete with EDKRA.
After the classroom session, new racers are treated to a one-day track session where they learn the proper and safe procedures for competing in events throughout the summer season until the end of September. With 12 to 14 events per year, racers have plenty of opportunities to earn points and climb the standings in their respective classes.
The ultimate prize? The championship trophy awarded to the racer with the most points in their class after the final event of the season. And let's not forget about the EDKRA annual banquet, held in late October or early November, where all members, along with their friends and family, come together to celebrate the racing season.
