Edithvale Community Skating Rink

Edithvale Community Skating Rink is a beloved community hub located in North York. Thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers, the rink is maintained, flooded, and ready for the skating season. The rink is managed by the Edithvale Yonge Community Association (EYCA) and offers merchandise for sale as a fundraiser to offset costs.

The rink has strict Covid-19 protocols in place, including a maximum of 25 skaters, no shinny allowed, and wearing masks on the ice. Volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the rink is safe for all users and enforce these protocols.

Despite challenges such as warm spells and reduced ice surfaces, volunteers work hard to rebuild the rink and provide a space for the community to enjoy skating. Skaters are reminded to stay off the ice when it's above 0 degrees Celsius to prevent damage to the surface. The rink also relies on the support of the community to ensure its continued success.
