Edinburgh Karate Shizen

That time, Sensei Jonathan achieved his 4th Dan black belt and developed a deep passion for teaching karate.

In Spring 2012, Edinburgh Karate Shizen was founded by Sensei Jonathan Huddleston. Originally a part of the KUGB, the school now provides Shotokan Karate training in various locations in and around South Queensferry, Scotland's capital. As a member of WTKO Scotland, Edinburgh Karate Shizen is affiliated with the World Traditional Karate Organisation (WTKO), which offers exciting opportunities for the students to further develop their karate skills.

Classes are available for all age groups, starting from age 6 through to adults. The school aims to provide a platform for lifelong training, ensuring that students can continue their karate journey for years to come. New members are always welcome at Edinburgh Karate Shizen. The first class is free, allowing individuals to try out karate and see if it's the right fit for them. For the next few weeks, the fee is 6 per class on a pay-as-you-train basis. Once new members are sure they want to continue, they can sign up for a direct debit membership with flexible fees.

The direct debit fees can be adjusted based on the number of family members training and the number of sessions attended each month.

The instructor at Edinburgh Karate Shizen is Sensei Jonathan Huddleston, a highly experienced 4th Dan black belt. His karate journey began in 1996 at Langholm Karate Club under the guidance of Sensei Philip Gunn. He went on to train with KUSN, led by Sensei Paul Dempsey and Keinosuke Enoeda, before joining the KUGB for 12 years. Sensei Jonathan's extensive training and dedication to the martial art have shaped him into a skilled instructor who is passionate about teaching karate.
