Skills, we offer the opportunity to participate in external competitions and events such as the RAD Gene International Ballet Competition and local dance festivals.
At the East Oxford School of Ballet, we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and supportive environment, where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. Our team of experienced and dedicated teachers are passionate about ballet and are committed to helping students develop their skills and confidence.
We offer classes for children aged 3 years and up, as well as adult classes for those who wish to pursue ballet as a hobby or exercise. Whether you dance once a week or aspire to a professional career in dance, we have classes tailored to suit your needs. Our timetable is designed to accommodate students at various levels and abilities.
Our school has a strong focus on classical ballet training. We believe that a solid foundation in ballet technique is essential for all dancers, regardless of their future aspirations. In addition to our ballet classes, we also offer regular Modern/Jazz and Tap classes, as well as character style training through RAD grade classes.
For students who wish to pursue a professional career in dance, we provide the opportunity to take daily classes, which is essential for training the body and mind in this challenging art form. Our students have the unique opportunity in Oxford to train up to Advanced 2 level, giving them a competitive edge in auditions for vocational schools. We have a track record of success, with many former pupils going on to train at prestigious dance schools and pursuing successful careers in dance.
In addition to our regular classes, we stage regular productions and informal presentations to give students the opportunity to gain valuable stage experience. Our productions include classic ballets such as The Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Sleeping Beauty. We also encourage students to experiment with their own choreography and try out different dance styles through our informal presentations.
For those students who are eager to gain more performing experience, we offer the opportunity to participate in external competitions and events. This allows students to further develop their performance skills and gain exposure within the dance community.
At the East Oxford School of Ballet, we believe that dance is not only a beautiful art form but also a means of self-expression, discipline, and physical fitness. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment where students can explore their love for dance and reach their full potential. Join us today and embark on a journey of artistry, creativity, and personal growth.
