James, the organiser, oversees a team of coaches who are all trained under the British Gymnastics Coaching award scheme. They are dedicated to making each session both enjoyable and productive. The club offers a variety of classes throughout the week for preschoolers, school-aged children, youths aged 12 and above, and home-educated children. Whether beginners or experienced gymnasts, participants in the Gymnastics For All (GFA) classes will develop new skills in a supportive environment.
Easton Gymnastics Club, a registered charity with the Charity Commission, plays an active role in the community. The club recently hosted its first in-house competition, celebrating the hard work and talents of its gymnasts.
The club's journey began with just 18 members at Easton Village Hall. As membership grew, the club moved to Easton College Sports Centre and later to its current location, Deer Park House, in 2015. With 250 members and a waiting list nearly double that size, the new purpose-built facility opened in 2016, thanks to grants from the National Lottery, Sport England, British Gymnastics, and the Post Code Lottery.
Today, Easton Gymnastics Club continues to thrive with the latest equipment and an outstanding coaching team. The club's mission remains consistent: to provide enjoyable and positive learning experiences in a family environment, and to offer gymnastics for all. Sessions run six days a week, welcoming members from all over Norfolk, including Dereham, Taverham, and Wymondham.
At Easton Gymnastics Club, the aim is to develop key fundamental movement skills for toddlers while building strength and fitness in adult classes. The goal is to inspire a lifelong love for gymnastics and promote physical activity and personal growth.
