East Leake Badminton Club

Doubles 1 in Division 1 and Mixed Doubles 2 in Division 5. The Mixed Doubles 2 team had an outstanding season, losing only one match and dominating their division.

The success of East Leake Badminton Club is not limited to the competitive aspect of the sport. The club is dedicated to the development of junior players and has a thriving Junior Club for players aged 8 to 16. These young players receive top-notch coaching and have the opportunity to gain valuable match experience.

Club nights are held every Thursday during the season from September to April, providing members with the chance to play on the three excellent courts at East Leake Leisure Centre. Feather shuttlecocks are used during club nights, adding to the authentic badminton experience. Home matches take place on Wednesday evenings or Sunday afternoons at the same venue.

After a fun-filled evening of badminton, members can often be found at the local pub, The Nags Head, recounting their epic shots and celebrating victories. The friendly and social atmosphere of East Leake extends beyond the court, fostering a sense of camaraderie among its members.
