Eastern Blades Hockey Club, established in 1949 as Bassendean Hockey Club, is a social-based sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. The club caters to individuals of all ages and skill levels who have a passion for hockey.
Initially founded by Mr Stan Goodwin, Mr Vic Read, Mr Noel Sturgeon, Mr Bob Becker, and Mr Ross Dunstan, the club adopted its iconic red, gold, and black colours in 1973. It wasn't until 1994 that the club officially became known as Eastern Blades Hockey Club.
The club's primary focus is to create a friendly and inclusive environment where members can enjoy the sport of hockey while fostering camaraderie and a sense of community. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, Eastern Blades Hockey Club welcomes individuals of all abilities to join their ranks.
Season 2023 has kicked off with the senior teams commencing on April 1st and the juniors pushing back on April 29th. Fixtures and results for both senior and junior teams can be found on the club's website and social media pages.

Throughout the year, Eastern Blades Hockey Club organises various events to promote a sense of camaraderie and community spirit. From Bingo and Games Night on May 26th to the Annual General Meeting and Curry Night on June 17th, the club ensures there is something for everyone. Other events to look forward to include a Quiz Night on August 11th, Rick Hocking Day on August 12th, Ladies/Supporters Day on August 19th, and the season Wind-Up on October 21st.
