Registration for the 2023-24 season is now available at Eastern Suburbs Athletic Club. Eastern Suburbs Athletic Club, a Pole Vault club in Hobart, offers cross country competitions every Saturday morning, followed by a cup of coffee with friends. The club members get involved in the Athletics South Out of Stadium season, which takes place from April to September in different locations around the greater Hobart area.
In addition to the regular cross country events, the club represents itself in the Tasmanian Cross Country and Road Running Championships throughout the year. Cross country, being a family-friendly activity, allows people of all ages, from 9 and up, to compete on the same course at the same time. It's a great way to bond with family and friends while enjoying the thrill of the sport.
The Saturday morning runs kick off at 10 am, and there's a nominal weekly entry fee required. It's worth mentioning that Eastern Suburbs Athletic Club takes pride in the fact that they have multiple generations of families competing regularly. So, it's not just about the sport, it's about strengthening family ties and creating lasting memories.
