Welcome to East End Pool, located in the heart of Byker, one of the newest and most modern leisure centres in Newcastle. Our state-of-the-art facility boasts a 70+ station gym equipped with the latest Technogym equipment. We have recently expanded our Strength area to include a range of Hammer Strength machines, providing a comprehensive workout experience for all fitness levels.

For those who prefer group fitness classes, we have a large studio offering an extensive programme that includes popular classes such as Group Cycle, Power Pump, Yoga, and much more. If you can't make it to a live class, our virtual studio allows you to enjoy hundreds of classes on demand, giving you the flexibility to exercise whenever it suits you.

At East End Pool, we pride ourselves on our excellent swimming facilities. We have two swimming pools to cater to all your needs. Our 25m pool is perfect for casual and lane swimming, while our teaching pool is home to the Better Swim School, offering swimming lessons for all ages from 6 months to Adult. Our experienced instructors ensure that everyone receives personalised attention and guidance to improve their swimming skills.

After your workout or swim, unwind and relax in our sauna and steam room, which provide the perfect opportunity to release any tension and rejuvenate your body. We also offer plenty of family-friendly activities, including slides and Aqua Splash, making East End Pool the ideal destination for a fun day out with the kids. Our inflatable soft play area is sure to keep the youngsters entertained and help them burn off excess energy.

Conveniently located in Hadrian Square, Byker, East End Pool is easily accessible by train, tube, tram, or car. We offer 33 parking spaces, including 5 designated disabled spaces, to ensure that everyone has easy access to our facilities. The centre is open from Tuesday to Friday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on weekends from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please note that opening hours may vary for different parts of the building, so it is always advisable to check before your visit.
