East End Aikido NL is a thriving martial arts club located in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Specializing in the art of Aikido, the club offers classes for both children and adults, as well as bi-annual seminars for students to enhance their skills. Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art that focuses on neutralizing an attacker's energy, promoting harmony and movement flow in self-defence situations.
Led by Colleen Hogan Sensei, a Fifth Degree Black Belt, East End Aikido NL provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students to learn and grow in their practice. With a strong emphasis on tradition and technique, students have the opportunity to train in hand-to-hand combat as well as weapons training with jo, bokken, and tanto.
The club's dedication to providing quality instruction is evident in the regular classes and seminars offered to students of all levels. Colleen Hogan Sensei has over 30 years of experience in Aikido and has trained with various Master Teachers both locally and internationally, including at the prestigious Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Japan.
