Welcome to East Coast Bays Rugby Football Club (ECBRFC), a well-established rugby club located in Auckland. With a rich history spanning over 75 years, ECBRFC was founded in 1946 to serve the communities of the East Coast Bays area on the beautiful North Shore of Auckland.
As we enter 2022, ECBRFC is rejuvenated with new sponsors, a fresh committee, dedicated coaches across all grades, and the addition of new and returning players. Our club has enjoyed recent successes, including the premier 1 team winning the championship in 2019, the U85's securing victory in 2021, and our U21 side aiming for a fifth consecutive championship this year. Our achievements led to ECBRFC being honoured as the North Harbour Rugby Union's Club of the Year in 2021. Join us as we continue to strive for greatness on and off the field.

We are thrilled to announce our coaching lineup for the 2024 season. Leading the top 1 team is Brent Wilson, a no-nonsense former player with a wealth of experience both in New Zealand and overseas. Brent's coaching career began after his retirement from rugby, and he has recently been coaching with the Wairarapa Bush Heartland Team. With his passion for the game and dedication to excellence, Brent will guide the club's rugby programme towards success.
We are excited to have him on board.
Additionally, we have an exceptional set of coaches across our other grades, including Steve Wetini overseeing the leading 2 team and Matt Cochrane, Matt Graham, and Duane Heard leading the U21 squad. Bernie Thomas and Steve Kerr will be responsible for coaching the Restricted grade. We would like to acknowledge all the candidates for their interest and wish them well.
Looking ahead, the 2024 season promises to be an exciting one for ECBRFC. We eagerly anticipate the return of all our stakeholders, sponsors, and past and present players to the club. Together, with the motto of “One Squad, One Club,” we will work towards achieving our goals and continuing our legacy of excellence.
