Welcome to the East Hastings Sea Angling Association and Social Club! Known as one of the top angling clubs and social venues in the country, we have been serving the fishing and social community in Hastings for over 100 years.
Our anglers enjoy a range of excellent facilities, including a fully beach launched boat yard. Our experienced and friendly beach staff are always on hand to assist with getting you afloat and safely back on shore at the end of the day. And of course, there's always some banter and laughter to go along with it. We can accommodate boats of various sizes, from smaller club boats to larger clinkers.
Throughout the year, we organise multiple competitions with fantastic prizes and historical trophies up for grabs. We also provide full workshop facilities and tools for all your maintenance and upgrade needs. With secure lockers, outboard and freezer storage available onsite, you can conveniently keep everything you require close by. And if you ever need bait, tackle, or advice, the amazing Hastings Angling Centre is right on our doorstep.
But fishing isn't the only thing we're known for. Our clubhouse offers a fully stocked modern bar with stunning views of the beach, sea, and harbour arm. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink, whether it's in the middle of summer or on a windy and wet day with the sea crashing spectacularly across the harbour arm.
Inside the clubhouse, you'll find comfortable seating and a separate stage area with additional seating and a dance floor that can be hired for various events, including weddings, birthdays, wakes, and community group meetings. Our bar is not only discounted for members, but it's also one of the best-priced venues in town. Our friendly and cheeky bar team is always ready to help quench your thirst after a hard day's fishing or keep you hydrated during a hot summer day or a night on the dance floor.
Hungry after a long day of fishing or in need of a quick snack? Our onsite tea bar/café serves some of the best food in the old town. The chicken curry has gained quite a reputation within the community and is loved by many. And don't forget about their legendary carveries, but be sure to book quickly as they tend to sell out fast due to their popularity. As part of the community, we are well-known for hosting numerous social events throughout the year. We have live music every weekend and celebrate special occasions such as Fat Tuesday, May Day weekend, and Carnival week. We are also proud to support many community groups, including the Winkle Club, Widow and Widowers club, Jack in the Green, and many more. If you have a community event or group in need of a venue or our support, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always looking for ways to help out.
