Dynamic Studio of Performing Arts

Welcome to the Dynamic Studio of Performing Arts (DSPA), previously known as Gotta Dance and Unlimited Feet Performing Arts. Owned by two experienced sisters, Karena and Tina, with a combined 60+ years of dance experience, DSPA has been running since 2005.

DSPA offers a wide range of classes, including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary. In addition, it also provides classes in Acrobatics, Drama, and Singing. From the age of two and a half to mature adults, DSPA welcomes students of all levels and abilities. They even have a “come dance with me” pre-school programme for children aged 1-3, which introduces them to the world of dance, music, rhythm, and imagination.

Whether students are looking to dance just for fun or participate in examinations for various dance styles, DSPA caters to all. The studio encourages students to enjoy the classes while also offering the opportunity to participate in examinations for Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Theatrical, and Performing Arts. Mid-year displays are hosted by DSPA, showcasing the exam and class work that the students have been learning throughout the year. At the end of each year, the “End of Year Production” provides students with the chance to perform onstage at the Hopgood Theatre, showcasing the routines and performances they have been working on.

Located in Morphett Vale, DSPA has two separate dance areas equipped with safe flooring, mirrors, barres, air conditioning, and other necessary equipment to ensure a comfortable and professional environment for students. The studio offers classes in classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, acrobatics, and a special programme called “fairies and elves. ” Additionally, there are adult classes available for those looking to embrace their passion for dance.

The studio is run by two dedicated owners, Karena Viant and Tina Cathro. Karena teaches Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Acro, and Funk classes, both exam and non-exam. She started dancing at the age of 4 and has since competed in numerous competitions, completed many exams in different styles, and fulfilled her dream of becoming a dance teacher and owning a dance studio. Tina Cathro began her dancing journey at just 2.

5 years of age and has continued dancing with various studios throughout the years. She loves all styles of dance but has a particular fondness for Contemporary, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. Tina takes care of most of the paperwork at DSPA and teaches Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary classes on Mondays and Wednesdays.
