Our dynamic team of instructors at Dynamic Aikido Nocquet U in Newcastle upon Tyne is dedicated to providing high-quality Aikido training to students of all ages and skill levels. Led by Sensei John Emmerson, a 5th Dan black belt and personal student of Master Andre Nocquet, our instructors are passionate about preserving the traditional techniques of Aikido.
Aikido is a martial art that incorporates a wide range of techniques that can be used against armed, unarmed, and multiple attackers. Unlike other martial arts, Aikido training is cooperative rather than competitive, emphasising harmony and redirection of an opponent's energy. The practise of Aikido also fosters a spiritual experience, contributing to the development of positive human qualities and values for a more fulfilling life.
Aikido is a suitable martial art for both male and female adults, offering physical development through improved health and fitness, as well as mental awareness and alertness. Since Aikido is a non-competitive art, our dojo promotes a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where members can train in a supportive environment. Our instructors work together to ensure members have the best possible opportunity to make rapid progress and achieve success in their training.
