Founded by Jamal Reynolds, a former pro Canadian Elite Basketball League champion, the club focuses on skill development, believing that strong fundamentals are essential for success in basketball.
The club boasts a talented and experienced team of coaches and staff members. Jamal Reynolds serves as the Founder and Head Coach, bringing with him 10 years of experience in skills training. Anthony Ottey Jr, a pro player in the NBL and CEBL, serves as a Skill Coach, while Jordan Henry, a former McMaster University player and U-19 FIBA World Championship Gold medallist, serves as another Skill Coach. Tawnya Rudy, a certified personal trainer and head strength and conditioning trainer, focuses on the players' physical development, while Aaron Hayles, the Basketball Operations Manager and Assistant Coach, oversees the day-to-day operations of the club.
Courtney Dawkins, Lead Assistant Coach and Skills Trainer, and Jasmine Mohan, Rehabilitation Therapist and Kinesiologist, round out the professional team at Durham Basketball Club, providing comprehensive support for players on and off the court.
The club offers various programs for different age groups, including the Microballers Program for ages 3-9 and the Mini Ballers Program for ages 3-6. Both programs involve weekly skill sessions with Jamal Reynolds and include a DBC shirt for all participants.
