

Dublin University Boat Club (DUBC) is a storied rowing club located in Dublin, Ireland. Founded in 1836, the club has a rich history and tradition of rowing on the River Liffey. Comprising dedicated rowers from Dublin's prestigious Trinity College, DUBC is known for its competitive spirit and strong performance in regattas and head races.
In recent news, DUBC made an impressive showing at the 2024 Lagan Head of the River in Belfast. Fielding three boats in the event, including a Senior 4- in the morning 4. 2k head race, an Intermediate, and Club 1x in the afternoon 2. 7k head race, DUBC rowers showcased their skill and determination.
Despite challenging conditions and unfamiliar courses, DUBC's teams came out on top, with multiple first-place finishes and impressive overall rankings.
The club also recently completed its Winter Camp 2024 in Enniskillen, where the Novice and Senior squads focused on building momentum for the upcoming racing season. Training in pairs and fours, the rowers worked on technique and built up mileage in preparation for their upcoming races. With the support of Enniskillen Royal Boat Club, DUBC was able to log nearly three hundred kilometres on the water, setting the stage for a successful racing season ahead.
Looking ahead, DUBC has key dates on the racing calendar, including the Colours Boat Races in Dublin and the Reserves Races in Islandbridge. The club is eagerly anticipating the upcoming Erne Head of the River in Enniskillen, where they will have the opportunity to put their training to the test in a competitive environment.
