DS Bull Oval, located in Macleay Park, Balwyn North, is a versatile cricket ground that caters to a wide range of sports and activities. With its synthetic cricket pitch and cricket nets featuring 5 lanes, this oval is ideal for cricket enthusiasts of all skill levels.
The oval is designed to meet the needs of various sports, including AFL, soccer, cricket, outdoor fitness training, and general sports. It has a spacious perimeter of 442 metres, offering ample playing area for sporting events and training sessions. Please note that casual bookings do not include sportsground lighting.
In addition to its sports facilities, DS Bull Oval also offers a variety of public amenities to enhance visitors' experience. These include a barbecue area, drinking fountain, off-lead dog area, parking spaces, playground, seating, and tables. Public facilities are free for all oval visitors to use and are not included as part of a booking.
When it comes to parking and transport, the car park is conveniently located off Belmore Road, ensuring easy access for visitors. For those using public transportation, the park is just 1. 1 km away from the number 48 tram stop.
DS Bull Oval is available for bookings seven days a week, including public holidays. The booking times vary based on the season: from April to October, the oval can be booked from 7 am to 6 pm, and from November to March, the booking hours extend from 8 am to 8 pm.
To make a booking, the minimum notice required is five full business days. The casual sportsground booking fee is $69 per hour.
