Drumcondra Ju-Jutsu was founded in April of 1993 by Joe and Martin, with a combined 53 years of martial arts training. The school follows a Classical Ju-Jutsu format, distinguishing it from modern and traditional styles. Students are introduced to over 4000 techniques in the style, as well as Seibutsu Yanagi Aiki Ju Jutsu and Yanagi En Aiki Ju Jutsu skills. The instructors emphasise the importance of in-depth knowledge of vital points for both striking and pushing techniques.

The founders, Joe and Martin, have a rich background in martial arts, having trained in various disciplines such as Karate, Ninjutsu, Aiki Ju-Jutsu, Kobujutsu, and Hakuda.
