Droitwich Archery Society Outdoor Shooting Ground, located in Droitwich, Worcestershire, is a sociable archery club that focuses on target archery and also has space for clout shoots. Club members participate in various County, Regional, and National shoots.
The club enjoys introducing newcomers to archery and holds beginners' courses several times a year, following the Archery GB beginners' syllabus. These courses are led by qualified coaches and experienced archers, with all necessary equipment provided.
After completing the beginners' course, individuals are encouraged to join Droitwich Archery Society or another convenient Archery GB club. The club welcomes archers of all ages and supports various bow styles, including Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Longbow, and American Flatbow.
Droitwich Archery Society is affiliated with the County of Worcester Archery Association, West Midlands Archery Society, and Archery GB. The club hosts the annual World Record Status WA Combined tournament, set for Sunday, 25th February 2024, at RGS Worcester.
In the summer, the club uses a private field near Hanbury for shooting, and in the winter, they utilise the gym at Droitwich High School. The club's history dates back to the time when the old Worcester Company of Archers, formerly at the YMCA ground in Henwick Road, ceased operations.
