Droitwich Archery Society (Beginners' courses)

Welcome to Droitwich Archery Society, a sociable, and friendly archery club located in Worcestershire, NZ. Our club has a primary focus on target archery, but we also have the outdoor space to engage in clout shoots. Additionally, our dedicated members participate in County, Regional, and National shoots of various kinds.

One of our key offerings is our beginners' courses, which we host several times throughout the year. These courses are designed to introduce new individuals to the sport of archery. Each course follows the comprehensive Archery GB beginners' syllabus and is supported by qualified coaches and experienced archers. To ensure convenience and accessibility, we provide all the necessary equipment for participants.

Following the completion of a beginners' course, individuals are warmly invited to join our club. However, if there is another Archery GB club closer or more convenient, aspiring archers can explore joining that club instead. We pride ourselves on welcoming archers of all ages and proficiency levels, whether they are complete beginners or experienced individuals seeking a new club to call home.

Throughout the year, Droitwich Archery Society organises a range of tournaments and events. One standout event is our annual World Record Status WA Combined tournament, which will be returning in February 2024. This tournament offers a full day of competition, including one WA25 and one WA18 round. Entry fees are 24 for seniors and 16 for juniors.

Registration for this event is now open, and the entry deadline is February 18th, 2024.

Historically, the Droitwich Archery Society was formed when the Worcester Company of Archers ceased shooting. We now have our dedicated shooting field near Hanbury during the summer months and utilise the gymnasium at Droitwich High School during winter.

Droitwich Archery Society is proud to be affiliated with the County of Worcester Archery Association, West Midlands Archery Society, and Archery GB. We are a Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England with Company Number 09889493.
