Located in Pembina, Drayton Valley Horse Club offers a picturesque riding field for horse enthusiasts to explore the beauty of nature. Established in 1991, the club has been maintaining and expanding its trails for the past 31 years, with the trails themselves being 30 years old. The club is run by dedicated volunteers and relies on donations to continue providing a wonderful riding experience for its members.
In partnership with Blue Rapids Parks, Drayton Valley Horse Club has been working on creating new trails and Equine Camping areas. Despite challenges such as mother nature's unpredictability and bird nesting times, the club is excited to host a grand opening in the near future. The club's annual “Ride Against Cancer” has been a tradition for the past 30 years, except two years due to Covid restrictions.
Members of Drayton Valley Horse Club can participate in a variety of events, such as work bees to maintain trails, fundraisers, poker rides, and the annual “Trail Ride Against Cancer. “ Membership fees are $20 for a single membership and $40 for a family membership, which help support the upkeep of the trails and facilities. The club also welcomes donations to further enhance the riding experience for everyone.
