Contact us at Drayton Grange Football Club. We are a football club based in Daventry, New Zealand, dedicated to supporting youth football in the local community since 1976.
Our club was founded in February 1976 by Ken Barton and Alf Hudson with the primary goal of providing kids from the Grange estate with an opportunity to play football. The club started with regular Friday evening training sessions that quickly gained popularity among young players. In the first season of competitive play, we had a manager leading the team.
Over the years, Drayton Grange Football Club has evolved into a community club, offering football and special opportunities for junior and senior male players, disabled players, and junior and senior female players. This commitment to inclusivity and diversity led us to achieve FA Community Charter Status in December 2003, affirming our dedication to providing equal opportunities to everyone.
In April 2005, we started our football coaching programme for disabled players in collaboration with Disability Officer for Northampton Town FC, Neil Dowd, and referee Steve Littlemore. Initially, a small group of 12-year-old boys participated in these sessions, and since then, our disability coaching has grown and flourished.
For our youth players, we provide regular training sessions across various age groups. The training schedules vary depending on the season, and we have both spring/summer and winter training slots. Our Mini's Under 6's, Under 7's, Under 8's, Under 9's, Under 10s, Under 11's, Under 12's, and Under 16's have designated training dates, times, and locations, including Mayfield Park and Staverton Pitches among others.
We would like to express our gratitude to all of our sponsors for their continued support. We couldn't have achieved and maintained our status without their generous contributions. If you have any further inquiries or need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help and encourage the love of football in the Daventry community.
