Graham School of Dance and Theatre Arts is excited to announce a local Contemporary Dance event in Bishop's Stortford. This event is perfect for those who are interested in exploring the world of modern dance and want to experience something new and exciting.
Our weekly classes in Drama and Musical Theatre are known for their high standard and fun atmosphere. Located on the Hertfordshire / Essex borders, we offer group technique classes that include non-syllabus work. Pupils also have the option to work individually towards LAMDA examinations, which are held regularly throughout the year.
For pupils of all ages, our Drama classes help build self-confidence and team working skills. Not only do these classes introduce a knowledge and love of the theatre, but they also develop technique, concentration, and memory skills. Through games, role play, and invention, pupils work together to interpret and develop characters and scenes.
Our Musical Theatre classes are ideal for pupils across Herts and Essex who are passionate about the genre. We teach the necessary techniques needed for participants to deliver the best possible performance through singing, acting, and dance. Pupils are also prepared and entered for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) Drama and Musical Theatre examinations.
At Graham School of Dance, we believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for our students to shine. Talented students may be invited to take extra classes and learn and perform group, solos, duet, trio, and/or quartet pieces, which are entered at All England Dance Festivals. We take pride in our trained medal winners and our success at Drama Festivals.
In addition to our regular classes, pupils have the chance to perform in our Drama and Musical Theatre Showcase and our Main School Show, which take place in alternate years. These performances give our students an opportunity to showcase their hard work and talent.
