Approaching from Cheltenham on the B4063, drivers should pass the “H. Buckland” car dismantlers and the “White House” hotel, going under the motorway bridge and past two sets of traffic lights with Gloucestershire Airport on the left. Continuing to the next set of traffic lights, passing the large white “Sultran Landing Systems” factory buildings, they should turn right onto Down Hatherley Lane and continue for approximately 400 yards. Then, they should turn right at the “Dowty Sports & Social Society” sign, following the lane behind the main clubhouse and through the car park, where the bowls green is located on the right.
Approaching from Gloucester on the B4063, drivers should go through Churchdown, passing the Brickhampton Court Golf Club entrance, until they reach the traffic lights just before the large white “Sultran Landing Systems” factory buildings. They should then turn left onto Down Hatherley Lane and continue for approximately 400 yards, turning right at the “Dowty Sports & Social Society” sign.
If approaching from Gloucester on the A38, drivers should drive through Twigworth, passing the Norton Garden Centre, and turn right onto Down Hatherley Lane. The road leads past Hatherley Manor Hotel and includes sharp right and left bends with a church on the right. About 0. 5 miles past these bends, just before the “Sultran Landing Systems” factory, drivers should turn left onto the lane leading to Dowty Sports & Social Clubhouse.
For those coming from Tewkesbury on the A38, they should pass Norton and the Red Lion pub and continue for about 0. 5 miles, passing Chestnut Farm and Twigworth Breakers on the right.
