Down Beat Dance Company (DBDC) is a recreational and competitive dance studio located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing dancers with exceptional training in a variety of dance styles, while also offering services in both official languages.
DBDC dancers have excelled in various areas of the dance community, including competing in dance competitions, performing on television, and participating in HRM events. Our competitive teams have been selected by international judges for final showcases over 100 times, earning more than 250 top mark awards and winning 35 overall titles, along with 3 Top Studio Awards.
At DBDC, we are guided by three core principles: leadership, positive attitude, and commitment. Every dancer is expected to communicate effectively, demonstrate a positive attitude, and be committed to working towards their full potential. Our dancers are required to attend all practices and rehearsals ready to contribute to our bilingual environment.
