Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool

The Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool is a beautiful public swimming pool located on the edge of the Recreation Grounds complex on Memorial Avenue in Dowerin, Western Australia. This substantial 50-metre pool offers a great escape from the summer heat, with its grassed surrounds and ample amenities.

The pool is open to the public from November to March each year, and the specific dates are announced annually. Opening hours are from 12 noon to 7 pm every day, except for Tuesdays, when the pool is closed. However, early risers can enjoy lap swimming sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 am to 7 am.

To cater to the needs of visitors, the Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool offers a well-stocked kiosk, where you can grab a snack or a refreshing drink. Additionally, there is a playground and BBQ facilities, perfect for a family day out. It should be noted that the pool is closed to the public between 3:15 pm and 5 pm on Thursdays during school terms, as this is when the Dowerin Amateur Swimming Club conducts their time trials. Thanks to a generous donation from a group of local business owners and individuals, entry into the Dowerin Memorial Pool is free for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season. For those who prefer to pay per visit, the pool entry fees are $4. 00 for adults and children. Season tickets can also be purchased from the Shire Administration Office, with family tickets priced at $140.
