Doncaster BMX Track, also known as DBMX, is a welcoming and inclusive club located in Balby, Doncaster. As a British Cycling affiliated club, DBMX aims to promote and develop the sport of BMX racing in South Yorkshire. Since its formation in 2010, the club has been proud to produce National Champions who have gone on to compete at World and European levels. However, DBMX is equally enthusiastic about supporting riders who simply love the sport and are looking to build confidence, fitness, and friendships through BMX.
The DBMX track is situated on private land and is only accessible during club sessions. In 2021, the track underwent significant investment, now featuring full floodlighting that allows riders to enjoy BMX racing all year round. Whether you're a seasoned rider or a beginner, DBMX welcomes individuals of all ages, genders, and skill levels. BMX racing is a sport that offers all-action excitement and exceptional fitness benefits, with low entry costs and accessibility for everyone.
DBMX offers training sessions every Saturday morning from 10:00 to 13:00 and Wednesday evenings for gates practise from 18:00 to 20:30. However, please note that sessions are subject to weather conditions and coach availability. It is advised to check the club's Facebook page for updates and session confirmations. Training sessions are open to both members and non-members, with a fee of 3 for members and 5 for non-members.
The club also provides hire bikes and kit for those interested in trying out BMX.
Throughout the year, DBMX organises special training sessions with guest trainers, offering riders the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. Keep an eye on the club's Facebook page for details and announcements regarding these sessions.
To become a member of DBMX, individuals can join from January to December. The membership fees are 20 for individual membership and 30 for family membership. By becoming a member, riders can benefit from discounted training sessions, paying only 3 instead of 5. DBMX members also have access to a variety of discounts from affiliated brands.
