As an integral part of the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA), Doncaster Basketball Association boasts being a part of the largest junior competition in all of Australia. With their Junior club teams, known as Doncats, they enthusiastically participate in thrilling competitions against other junior clubs in the eastern Melbourne area.
The Doncats comprise both boys and girls aged between 5 to 20 years old. The coaching team meticulously assigns players to teams based on their unique capabilities, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for everyone involved.
Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting out, you can join Doncaster Basketball Association for either the summer or winter seasons. Sessions are held once a week, from Monday to Thursday, at the fantastic Leeds Street Sports Centre, which serves as the home stadium for the club. The training sessions are intelligently scheduled based on the availability of both the coach and the players.
The thrilling games take place on Saturdays, and the locations vary across the eastern area of Melbourne. This provides a sense of excitement and variety as players get the opportunity to compete in different venues throughout the season.
