Join the general class of Dog Boxing Kung Fu, known as DiShu Quan, offered by White Crane Fighting Arts – Tai Chi. Get ready to learn the art of this demanding fighting style under the expert guidance of Head Instructor Neil Johnson.
The class kicks off with a dedicated 30 minutes of full-body stretches to ensure your muscles and ligaments are properly prepared. Once warmed up, you will dive into a series of exercises including leg lifting, squatting, and stepping. These movements are designed to strengthen and tighten your body, enhancing your overall physical fitness.
But that's not all. As a student of Dog Boxing Kung Fu, you will also engage in two-person timing exercises. These exercises enable you to navigate fighting ranges effectively, both stepping in and stepping out. You will also master rolling, diving, and coiling techniques, which allow you to move freely on the floor while simultaneously binding opponents in various ways.
Throughout the classes, you will be taught DiShu patterns to reinforce your movements and develop a natural flow. These patterns not only enhance your technique but also promote ease of motion.
One of the great aspects of these classes is the opportunity to partner with other students. This dynamic interaction adds an extra layer of learning and growth to your practice. And don't worry if you're not the most flexible or fit person – these classes are designed for all levels. As you continue to practice, you will notice significant improvements in both flexibility and fitness.
It's important to note that Dog Boxing Kung Fu is a ground fighting art, and our sessions take place without mats. This means you may find yourself training on concrete or grass surfaces. So come prepared and ready for a unique and invigorating experience.
