The Doe Lea Resource Centre, located in Chesterfield's Parish of Ault Hucknall, is a vibrant community hub that offers a range of activities and resources for individuals of all ages. Managed by the Ault Hucknall Parish Community Association, a registered charity, the Centre is supported by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and the Ault Hucknall Parish Community Management Committee.
Funded by the Ault Hucknall Parish Council, as well as income from fundraising, venue hire, and Centre events, the Doe Lea Resource Centre strives to provide a diverse range of projects and activities throughout the year. They actively seek out grants and collaboration opportunities with partner organisations such as Bolsover District Council, Derbyshire County Council, and Rural Action Derbyshire.
The Centre aims to enrich the community's cultural and artistic experiences by hosting live shows, craft fairs, local artist exhibitions, arts workshops, and regular groups like Craft and Chat and music groups. In collaboration with partner organisations, they are also working towards creating a “Cultural Corridor” from Stainsby to Pleasley Vale, giving locals and tourists the opportunity to engage with the area through interactive and artistic endeavours.
