About

Ansty Football Club, located in Haywards Heath, is thrilled to invite interested players to an upcoming local soccer event. With a reputation for excellence and a passion for the beautiful game, Ansty FC is dedicated to providing exciting opportunities for soccer enthusiasts in the community.

In addition to our commitment to soccer, Ansty FC is also proud to support and promote other sports within the community. For instance, the Ansty Cricket Club, led by Brian Still, has been designated as a Disability Cricket Champion Club (DCCC) by the ECB. This demonstrates our dedication to creating inclusive opportunities for disabled individuals to enjoy the sport of cricket.

Ansty CC recently partnered with the Foundation to host the highly successful Burgess Hill Super 1s summer outdoor program. The program was such a hit that Ansty has been recognised by the Lord's Taverners as a Super 1s program. Taking place alongside our seniors, juniors, and women's programs, the Ansty Super 1s now fully integrate into our winter sessions, held at Warden Park School. We believe in the power of sport to bring people together and foster a sense of community, which is why the Super 1s are encouraged to participate in various club events, such as skittles nights.

The Lord's Taverners Super 1s program offers young people aged 12-25 with disabilities the chance to engage in regular, competitive cricket. It serves as a community cricket hub, providing coaching, competition against peers, and all the wonderful benefits that come from participating in sport.

Ansty CC also proudly hosts Super 9s development festivals on behalf of the Foundation. This format of soft ball cricket allows players in county-level disability cricket to get involved. If you're interested, the next Super 9s festival at Ansty is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 8th May 2023.

But that's not all! We're delighted to announce that Ansty will be hosting two Sussex D40 Squad matches in 2023. These matches feature players with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or hearing loss competing with a conventional hard cricket ball. Make sure to mark your calendars for Sunday, 4th June 2023 against Yorkshire and Sunday, 16th July 2023 against Middlesex.

And let's not forget about the Sussex Sharks Visually Impaired Team, proudly representing Ansty. This team competes in a national league against other visually impaired cricket teams. Visually impaired cricket is an accessible format for individuals with registered sight conditions, featuring adapted rules that ensure everyone can enjoy the game.
