Leigh-on-Sea Sailing Club is excited to announce their upcoming Dinghy racing season, which will kick off in April and wrap up with the thrilling “Brass Monkey” race in December. Teaming up with Essex Yacht Club, sailors can enjoy a mix of races, from longer distances to evening series and shorter courses. The sailing conditions offer something for everyone, with surf-able waves and variable winds depending on the quadrant.
Located in tidal waters, the club provides up to 4 hours of sailing time per high tide, ensuring plenty of time on the water. Open events like the Winter Series and the Brass-Monkey Trophy Race are also on the agenda, with support boat and race officer duties being carried out by dedicated volunteers.
Leigh-on-Sea Sailing Club encourages new helpers to join in on the action, offering training up to RYA Level 2 Motorboat level and for Race Officers.
