Dhruba Tara Chess Academy has been a cornerstone in the Shibpur, Howrah community since its establishment in 2009 by Mr. Amiya Das. Affiliated with the Howrah Chess Association and Bengal Chess Association since 2011, Dhruba Tara Chess Academy hosts various competitions for age groups under 16, along with open age competitions. The academy takes pride in its vibrant track record, having organized at least 11 competitions annually since its affiliation. One of the academy's shining stars, Debarghya Samanta, has notably advanced to the national championship level, exemplifying the high caliber of talent nurtured here.

Supported by a dedicated team of four expert trainers, all accredited professionals, the academy ensures personalized and intensive care in training children. Each session is designed to blend fun and learning seamlessly, making it an enriching experience for young minds. The specially crafted curriculum encourages children to think critically, paving the way for them to achieve mastery in chess.
