The centre boasts a well-equipped gym with a wide selection of Matrix cardio and resistance equipment. There is also a dedicated free weights area and functional zone for those looking to add variety to their workouts. Our qualified gym instructors are on hand to provide full inductions and can assist you in creating bespoke workout programmes tailored to your individual needs.
If group exercise is more your style, DCHW offers over 20 classes per week. From Body Pump to Pilates, Circuits to Body Combat, there is something for everyone, regardless of fitness level or exercise preference. Additionally, we have a virtual studio where you can join a Les Mills class on screen, giving you the flexibility to exercise at your convenience.
Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of our squash and badminton courts, which are available to book. Whether you prefer a high-intensity game of squash or a leisurely match of badminton, we have the facilities to accommodate you.
After your workout, relax and refuel at The Lounge café. With freshly brewed cappuccinos and a selection of snacks and lunches, it's the perfect place to recharge before or after your fitness session. The Lounge is open from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
Conveniently located behind the main Derriford hospital building, DCHW offers free parking for up to two hours while using the fitness facilities. Look out for our bright green atrium entrance to find us easily.
By becoming a member of DCHW, you gain access to a range of benefits. In addition to the extensive gym equipment and group exercise classes, you also receive exceptional value membership, friendly and knowledgeable instructors, and the convenience of our Fitsense App, which allows monthly paying members to book classes in advance.

DCHW is open seven days a week, with varying opening times. Please note that the last entry is 45 minutes prior to closing time.
