The club is affiliated with both Bowls England and English Bowling Federation, playing both codes of Flat Green Bowls.
The club boasts two 6 rink greens, allowing ample space for members to practise and play. In addition to the greens, there are 3 changing rooms, a clubhouse with a fully equipped kitchen and bar, accommodating up to 80 people. The club also offers car parking for approximately 20 vehicles, as well as off-road parking for a full-size coach, making it an ideal venue for touring teams, county fixtures, and charity galas.

The club offers free coaching and loan equipment to beginners, ensuring a smooth introduction to the sport.
In terms of history, the club's roots can be traced back to the Mundy family, who lived at Markeaton Hall. In the 1900s, Mrs. Mundy donated land for leisure purposes, and it is believed that the current location of the club was part of that donation. The West End Bowling Club was formed in June 1913, with the original clubhouse being built adjacent to the green.
Over the years, the facilities have expanded and improved, thanks to the dedication and hard work of club members.
